Did you know... Smiling actually can reduce your stress levels and reduce the affects that aging has on the brain. In order to smile you use the muscles of your face and eyes. When these muscles are activated towards the smiling verses frowning side of things, they have been shown to reduce cortisol levels according to a study performed at the University of Kansas in 2012. When cortisol (stress hormone) is high it affects the communication between nerve cells. As we age, we loose the ability to repair the nerve damage and eventually we experience cognitive decline. There are a lot of tips out there to stay young. Stress is definitely the ultimate culprit in the accelerated aging process. You can't avoid stress, but you can put the breaks on. Every one experiences stress - what matters is how you handle stress. One of which is smiling. Being happy will actually initiate the brain to experience life in a more positive light. Therefore keep the brain young by smiling more and you will reap all of those youthful benefits. So go ahead, smile :)

Does this work in the same way, if the person is all liquored up? Like, when I went on vacation with my family, and are 2 friends Jack and Coke.
