Dr. Tinsley's love of Chiropractic began at an early age. As a teenager, she suffered from monthly colds and constant tummy aches. She thought being sick was normal, until her family found, as Dr. Tinsley explains, "an amazing Chiropractor who helped – not only me – but my Dad."
"At the time, my Dad's heart would race uncontrollably, and it became worrisome. He went from Doctor to Doctor trying to figure out the problem. All his tests came back negative and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him. Their last resort was to put an unneeded pacemaker in his chest – even though his heart was in perfect condition (according to specialized tests).
My family opted for a second opinion, and we found a Doctor who knew really his stuff - a Chiropractic Applied Kinesiologist. He was a rare intellect, and had a wonderful manner with his patients.
After careful examination, he found a chronic rib subluxation (rib out of place) in my Dad’s chest which was causing a lack of oxygen to his brain, which was in turn causing abnormal heart rhythm and speed, which is controlled by the brain.
The Chiropractor told my Dad, 'I know what is wrong with you and I can fix it.' And, he did just that.
He corrected the problem by adjusting the rib back into its normal position. My Dad's heart normalized, and my family has never been the same since. I, too, began seeing this Doctor, and my colds went away, the aching pain in my stomach left. Our health was forever changed."
From that point forward, Chiropractors have been my family’s go to for health questions, ailments, and just about anything. Our trip to the Chiropractor was always a highlight.
Needless to say, they made me feel better and with their help my body functioned better. They changed my diet. They listened to my concerns. They helped. They cared. And more importantly, they taught me about health."
In her spare time in high school, Dr. Tinsley researched health, and lived a healthy lifestyle. It was no surprise she decided to go into the health field. She desired to learn more and to help people with what she learned. Her love for the human body lead her to a degree in Anatomy and another degree in Health and Wellness.
Not only do Dr. Tinsley’s patients benefit in the form of achieving incredible results for many different types of ailments, but they also benefit from having a Doctor who listens and analyzes the patient as a whole, developing highly personalized treatment plans according to a patient’s specific needs.
