Can you feel it?
The freshness of a new year. All the desire and hope of what’s to come.
This is undoubtably, my absolute favorite time of year. Maybe it’s because the focus is shifted back to health.
Maybe it’s the blank calendars ready to be filled with whatever you want!
Maybe it’s the quiet. The hustle and bustle of the holidays have come to a halt. There are more moments to breathe and ruminate…
Whatever it is, I really and truly desire to help you reach your health goals.
Even if it's something small, we want to assist you in your health journey.
Here are my thoughts for your life to get you started...
Don’t plan to start living when you are retired.
Put yourself in the future moment. You are retired and you have full freedom. Write down everything you deeply desire to enjoy and get done.
Now take yourself to present moment...How can you start to add in seeds of your “retirement plan” into your day?
When most retire, ironically, we actually can’t do the things we really want to do because of ill health, or we do the things we desired with less vigor and joy.
They say something like, you spend your youth sacrificing your health to gain wealth and when you retire you spend your wealth to gain health.
There has to be a balance. Everything starts with health.
And health begins with tiny steps.
We have to start incorporating what we desire most, now.
We can’t wait until the time is “right” We can and need to begin now.
So maybe when you retire you want to be able to play with your grandkids to the fullest capacity.
Today, you can start with assessing your movement.1. Can you get down on the floor without any assistance? Like using something to balance.
2. Can you get off the floor without any assistance?
3. Can you run or walk quickly?
4. Can you lift your own groceries?
5. Put away or take down heavy dishes or books high up?
6. Can you sit down in your chair without using the arms to sit down or get back up?
7. Can you lean over without experiencing pain?
8. Can you get through an easy day with sufficient amount of energy?
9. Are you moving your body every day for exercise?
These functional movements can be addressed today, and without much interruption in your schedule.
Your goals might be broader than playing full out with your grandchildren.
Your desires are endless and our capacity to help you meet them is vast. My passion is to help you live out your dream.
And there really aren't any limits, except for the ones you create for yourself.
