"The best news is the vertigo is 98% gone! For the first time in 2 years I can lay down on my right side. Woot! Thank you so much!"

I absolutely love helping people to finally feel a sense of freedom from their diagnosis by getting to the root cause of problem.

Especially when their symptoms get significantly better after their first visit.

I had a patient come in to my office on Friday after 2 years of suffering from symptoms associated with vertigo (dizziness, nausea). During those 2 years, she learned to adjust her lifestyle in order to avoid these symptoms. She knew which positions would cause her to spin out of control. For her, walking with her head and eyes down would help her avoid the spin outs, and also lying down on her left side instead of her right. Basically avoiding these positions all together or else the dreaded return of vertigo would rear its ugly head.

There is a plethora of reasons a person might experience vertigo. I use a technique called Applied Kinesiology (AK) to get to the root cause of the problem.

AK makes sense out of what is senseless.

Meaning, if someone is suffering needlessly without a known cause - we can make sense out of the unknown by knowledge and understanding of the body.

As with most chronic illness, it doesn't appear over night. She suffered from chronic sinus infections for 30 years, her cranial bones and TMJ were misaligned. Basically, her head (cerebral spinal fluid and sinus cavities) wasn't draining properly.

The TMJ is closely related to the ear.

In fact they are neighbors. So, a distortion in the TMJ can literally affect the ear. If the jaw joint is misaligned it can push on eustachian tube (draining tube of ear). If the ear can't properly drain via the eustachian tube, then the balance mechanism, located in the inner ear, can be affected.

Therefore, symptoms of vertigo can present.

Now, of course not every case of vertigo that comes into my office presents with the same symptoms and cause for vertigo. I treat my patients as individuals. So, my diagnosis, treatment plans, and goals are geared to meet individual, unique needs. It is not safe to assume that every case is the same. I have never seen any vertigo case that is exactly the same. With that said, it is important to get checked.

If you know someone who is suffering needlessly of vertigo or dizzy type symptoms, it is important to make a appointment to find the root cause.
